The challenge has been set!!! Can year 12 write and produce a radio programme examining the role and power of parliament under Elizabeth I!

You all have your own area of expertise . Use this to explain your partiuclar area of reposnsibility using examples to support your ideas.

Once you have written your script you must record your section of the programme and sned to Miss Cust.

Morning Elizabethans!

Apologies for not updating the blog for such a long time I was waiting to find out whether access has been restored for you in school! If one of you could update me on that situation I would be grateful.

Over the last few weeks we have been examining Elizabeth's use and control of her Privy council. We have also considered how Elizabeth controlled and managed her financial responsibilities. Your current homework is an essay assessing the success of Elizabeth's finances.

How successfully did Elizabeth I handle her financial problems?

We are now moving on to consider the relationship between Parliament and Elizabeth. We know about the role of parliament and you should from your reading have understood the powers that Elizabeth and parliament used to control decisions in parliament. On tuesday we will begin to consider these powers and the situations where conflict did arise between the two elements.
